Opened in 1954, Ibirapuera Park is an icon of the city. The park is huge, covering around 158 hectares, many attractions and several access gates. If you want to visit a specific attraction, the ideal is to check which entrance is closest.

PARQUE VILLA LOBOS
Situated in a large green area, the park has several attractions such as a bike path, playground, running track, sports courts, amphitheater, orchid and library.

JARDIM BOTÂNICO DE SÃO PAULO (SÃO PAULO BOTANICAL GARDEN)
Located in the southern region of the city, the Sao Paulo Botanical Garden has an extensive area of dense and preserved Atlantic Forest. It is a place to admire nature, as the presence of different species of trees and vegetation attracts different types of birds, in addition to being possible to see monkeys and sloths strolling through the trees.

PARQUE DA ÁGUA BRANCA
Located in the west zone, the park has been a leisure option for residents of the region since the 1930s. Currently, it hosts one of the most complete organic product markets in the city. The warehouse that houses the stalls is open on Tuesdays (7am to 12pm and 4pm to 8pm), as well as Saturdays and Sundays (7am to 12pm).

PARQUE BURLE MARX
Burle Marx Park, unlike Ibirapuera Park which is the best known in the capital of São Paulo, has a more contemplative proposal and not just leisure and fun. The space does not provide an area for cycling, skateboarding or playing ball, for example. The park was created with the function of preserving a section of the
Atlantic Forest still present in the city. The highlight of the park are the artistic panels integrated into the gardens, both created by landscaper Roberto Burle Marx.

PARQUE DA INDEPENDÊNCIA (INDEPENDENCE PARK)
The site of Independence Park is a National Historic Landmark. On Colina do Ipiranga, next to the Riacho do Ipiranga, D. Pedro I declared the independence of Brazil from Portugal in 1822.
The park’s landscape is marked by the presence of the Museu Paulista, better known as the Ipiranga Museum, and the sculpture known as the Monument to Independence, both are connected by a monumental axis, a large terrace that visitors take advantage of to have fun cycling, rollerblading , skateboarding or even walking.

PARQUE ECOLÓGICO DO TIETÊ (TIETÊ ECOLOGICAL PARK)
With 1 million and 541 thousand square meters, the Tietê Ecological Park is located in the east of the city. Renowned architect Ruy Ohtake was responsible for the architectural and landscape design of the park, opened in 1982. In addition to providing leisure and recreation to visitors, the park was also created to function as a water accumulation basin for the Tietê River to prevent flooding Marginal Avenue.
